2FM have confirmed today that Jennifer Zamparelli will be moving from being part of the Breakfast Republic team to being the host on her own of the late morning show that has belonged to Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene.

Byrne is leaving the station to focus on the reunion tour of Westlife and hosting Dancing With the Stars alongside Zamparelli on Sunday evenings.

Greene is the one who seems to have been squeezed in the middle and while she was offered an evening show focused on music, she has declined that.

“Having started off in the evening time and progressing on to a very successful day time show, going back to the evenings on 2FM just doesn’t feel like the right decision for me both personally and professionally,” she wrote in an Instagram post earlier today.

She then went on to quote Terry Wogan who said that “there’s never a right time to leave something you love, but there might be a wrong time if you hang on too long.”

Zampareli’s star shines brightly at RTÉ. She was the host last November when the station launched it’s new season, with Picture This playing a few songs into the bargain for a gathering of media and agency people.

Stepping into the role initiated on Dancing With The Stars by Amada Byram was a mejor step up the scale of celebrity and now capturing the 10 am to 1 pm slot wil cement her place as one of the favoured presenters within RTÉ’s entertainment cohort.

“I’m delighted to have this opportunity and even though I’ll miss my pals on Breakfast Republic I will still be popping in to distract them and sabotage their show on a daily basis,” she said.
