It’s so often all about timing and Tommy Tiernan’s clock seems to pretty well synchronised.
His innovative TV show moves to Saturday night primetime this weekend and the promotional bandwagon is moving at speed.
Making the most of the exposure Aiken Promotions have taken out radio advertising to promote his Paddy Crazy Horse Tour which has had ten dates added at Vicar Street in September and October as part of 36 dates between now and the end of the year.
The Millenium Forum in Derry has also been added to the schedule, with two dates in May, doubtless a nod to the popularity of his appearance as the Da in Derry Girls that has been such a hit north and south of the border.
Somewhere in between all of this he also manages to write a weekly column for the Sunday Independent.
All in all not a bad impersonation of a multimedia maven for a man who has been touring as a comedian for 23 years.
