Love it or loathe it, you’d have to be very diligent to avoid it. A brand new season of ‘Love Island’ returns to Virgin Media Two next month.

Tesco Mobile is to be the broadcast sponsor of the show here in Ireland, the fifth series to air.

The brand will also take full sponsorship across the Virgin Media Player and Virgin Media on Demand services where viewers will be able to catch up on any episodes they may have missed.

The package also includes the back up show Aftersun.

“Virgin Media Solutions are delighted to couple up with Tesco Mobile for this year’s series of Love Island,” said Katie Hanley, Partnerships Manager Virgin Media Solutions.

“We are all about connecting people and Love Island is a show that unites the nation each year, capturing the attention of even the unlikeliest of fans,” said Suzanne Quinn from Tesco Mobile.

“We are thrilled to be on-board as this year’s media sponsor.”

“When sponsorship of Love Island became available we knew that Tesco Mobile was the right fit due to the clear alignment between both brands,” added Dorothea Whalen of Group M who brokered the deal.

“We are thrilled Tesco Mobile are sponsoring the cultural phenomena that is Love Island and cannot wait to see how season 5 unfolds.”
