Taken Down is to be one of the highlights of the winter TV schedule and it has already scored a win through being sold internationally.

The series is from the same creative team that produced Love/Hate and is written by Stuart Carolan and Jo Spain.

Whispers are that it is every bit as strong as its illustrious ‘stablemate’ and that is validated by Fremantle, distributors of the X Factor on international markets has secured the rights to sell the show to overseas broadcasters.

Lynn Rafferty takes the lead role in the show as detective Jen Rooney and the premise centres on a murder and dirty deeds near a direct provision centre for immigrants.

The show is produced by Spiral Pictures and is expected to start on RTÉ in the coming months, certainly before Christmas.
