What is rare is precious and what is unusual catches the attention.

Maria Doyle Kennedy is to host four concerts at Hook Lighthouse, the world’s oldest intact operational lighthouse on August 10th and 11th and August 24th and 25th, 2018.

The concerts will be part of National Heritage Week which will also include history sessions, a family fun day, a stargazing night and a whale and dolphin group event, all in and around the Hook peninsula and the lighthouse.

Doyle Kennedy has forged a name and held her own in diverse areas from film and TV to her career as a singer-songwriter.

She has spent the best part of 20 years performing live all over the world to audiences ranging from the many thousands who have enjoyed her show at festivals including Glastonbury, Oxegen, Cambridge Folk Festival to the more intimate theatre concerts.

She has hosted sell-out shows previously at the 800-year-old lighthouse tower.

The facility and the heritage week events are supported by Wexford County Council and the Tourism Authorities.
