SEAT Ireland and RTÉ have announced a new twelve-month partnership on 2fm Rising. The car manufacturer will back the initiative dedicated to championing new Irish artists for the year ahead.

Twelve acts will be chosen by an expert panel and will feature in prime-time broadcast hours throughout 2019 on 2fm with specially produced Studio 8 sessions and online support across all 2fm social networks.

This is the second year of 2fm Rising with acts from last year including the very successful Dermot Kennedy, Mango X Mathman and the Fontaines DC.

“Our Rising list is a culmination of an amazing 2018 for all of 2fm’s music projects,” said 2FM Music Director and Chair of 2FM Rising Alan Swan.

“From our live events with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to our CEOL album which reached over 350,000 students across the country, to our 2fm Rising stage at the Other Voices music festival, it has been a great year.”

“With 12 acts that are a pulsating mix of genres, the strength of this year’s list previews what an exciting year lies ahead for the Irish music industry.”

A ‘2fm Rising Live’ live tour is expected to be announced in 2019.

The 12-month sponsorship deal includes up to eight 2fm Rising SEAT branded spots per day on the station plus substantial online mentions across social media and on the 2fm website.

SEAT sponsor internationally at the hugely popular Primavera Sound music festival in Barcelona every year, and also at the Lollapalooza festivals in Berlin and Paris in 2018.

The 2019 2fm Rising list includes – Happyalone, Fia Moon, Inhaler, Pillow queens, True Tides, Jyellowl, Rushes, Roe, Kojaque, Flynn, Tebi Rex & Wild Youth.
