It’s six weeks to Electric Picnic and organisers have released another 40 acts that will perform as well as more details about the new Freetown area on the site.
Charlie XCX heads the list of new performers, backing up the previouslty announced Hozier and Florence and the Machine.
Johnny Marr and Richard Ashcroft will appeal to the older attendees while Wild Youth Gerry Cinnamon and J Hus have also been added.
Freetown will add 30 acres of entertainment space to the site in 2019. It is on the space previously occupied by the Oscar Wilde Campsite and will have a new 8,000 capacity stage Terminus as a central point.
Providencia will be a Latin themed area, likely to provide a home for this year’s Casa Bacardi while The Oasis, Cirque and Spike Island have also been named as new areas.
Over the coming weeks, we will be focusing on each of the main sponsors and the work they are doing to make sure that the Picnic Experience remains ahead of the game.
