Vodafone won’t have felt much like laughing yesterday with a major outage taking down the network but these things happen and at least they handled it well other than the odd choice social media expletive from customers.
If they want to get back in the good books though they have chosen the timing of the launch of the Comedy Festival with perfect timing.
While tech may have caused frowns, the line up of acts for July in the Iveagh Gardens will only produce tears of laughter.
The Aiken promotions promoted Festival will take over the cool city centre venue from Thursday, July 25th to Sunday the 28th and over 20,000 attendees are expected to roll up for the fun.
The line up includes Tommy Tiernan, Deirdre O’Kane, Des Bishop, Dan Soder, Laura Davis and Foil, Arms and Hog.
Some are doing multiple shows and there will new faces as well, or new bags at least in the shape of Blindboy bringing his live show borne of his podcast.
There will be four stages in total – The Gas Station, the Funny Bone, the Jokeshop and the Punch Line. Tickets went on sale this morning and are shifting fast.
