Eastbound is a brand new music festival for Dublin and will take place across five city centre venues between the 7th and 12th of May.
Created by Aiken Promotions the key element of the Festival will be to showcase up and coming music talent from around the world.
The five venues will be the Workman’s Club, the Grand Social, Whelan’s, the Button Factory and The Sound House with concerts taking place simultaneously across each.
14 acts have been announced so far including WhenYoung from Limerick and Hunkpapa from Belfast. They will be joined by a number of acts from around the world that are making a name for themselves in local markets and are all seen as having the potential to become international stars.
Aiken Promotions created the Dublin Podcast Festival which followed a similar model of a concentrated line up of artists from Ireland and across the world and spread across multiple venues.
That took place for the second time last autumn and there is clearly a strong demand for a similar Festival dedicated to new music.
Tickets for each of the concerts so far announced will go on sale at 9 AM tomorrow morning and are priced at a very reasonable €13.50 each.
