The Edinburgh International TV Festival takes place in the Scottish city next week and over the coming days, we will be looking at some of the highlights to look forward to.
Channel 4’s production of Derry Girls took the TV world by storm this year, smashing all previous records for viewing among the general population and especially among younger adult audiences in Northern Ireland.
An average audience of 519,000 represented a 64.2 percent audience share and a massive 65 percent of the normally harder to reach 16-34 year old age cohort.
Lisa McGee’s relatable and nostalgic family comedy will be the subject of a Masterclass at The Moorfort on Wednesday afternoon, August 23rd.
McGee, cast members and other key creatives from the hit comedy will discuss the process of bringing the series to screen and the overwhelming responses from audiences.
There will also be a live table read by the cast.
