As a mix of sport and entertainment, it is up there among the best, and Bulmers Live at Leopardstown returns for the 10th year this evening.

This year will see 90’s UK pop sensations All Saints headline the final night, with tonight’s entertainment coming in the form of American Hip Hop artist Coolio.

Notable performances in the past include The Waterboys in 2018, The Human League in 2015, American soul singers Sister Sledge and Happy Mondays; both in 2017.  The Boomtown Rats are among others to have played on the stage behind the grandstand.

As a formula for Horse Racing, the evening race meeting with on course entertainment has been a successful one for Leopardstown, with other Irish tracks now following the same model. It has also proved popular in the UK with Newmarket and Ascot amongst the courses to adopt the same mix.

Targeted predominantly at the social race goer and the corporate social market, Leopardstown will aim to see over 45,000 people visit the track over the course of the summer series, and serve an average of over 10,000 hospitality meals.

Repeat custom from key clients has been the bedrock of forming long-standing relationships with corporate clients which has permeated to other large race days throughout the year as well as growing these relationships in the form of sponsorship at the racecourse.

The development of Central Park as home to the Irish headquarters of major corporates including Vodafone,  Microsoft, SSE Airtricity and many more has placed Leopardstown right in their back garden and dialling up the social appeal has been a key element ion the racecourse’s planning.

Bulmers have been a key sponsor for the series with the alcohol brand now owning the title sponsorship for the 10th year running. The benefit of the long term partnership with the Bulmers brand is that it has helped to establish and familiarise the Bulmers Live at Leopardstown series with both the race going public and social race goer as well as legitimising it with music fans and concert-goers.

On top of the key title sponsorship, the series will also see 24 individual sponsors taking set days and races throughout the series, with 70 per cent of them being completely unrelated to the horse racing sector.

As sports audiences demand more from their experience, Bulmers Live at Leopardstown has a formula that is working.
