AIB is backing the Dublin Gallery Weekend which was launched in Dublin today and will take place from November 24th to 26th.
The Bank will host a short series of talks on place, journeys, and realities that will take place upstairs in their Grafton Street branch at 4 pm on each of the Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the Weekend.
This is the third year that Galleries including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane, the Project Arts Centre, Kerlin Gallery, the National College of Art and Design Gallery, Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, The Lab Gallery, Artbox, The Library Project, The Royal Hibernian Academy and many more have come together to put on a programme of events aimed at encouraging people to discover something new about the Galleries of Dublin.
Dublin Tourism, Dublin City Council, Culture Ireland and The Arts Council are all backing the event and there is also support from Micromedia Outdoor advertising and O’Hara’s Craft Beers.
There are family events including sketching at most of the venues and the programme is extensive enough to reach out to many visitors and residents of Dublin.
You could try a spot of Chinese meditation at the Chester Beatty Library or forensic anthropology at the Science Gallery
AIB’s involvement will not have involved a major financial outlay but having the brand on board does serve to make the Dublin Gallery Weekend more attractive as a partnership opportunity for future years.
